After waiting months for this face to face appointment , regarding my Blood test for diabetes, having been told I needed to go onto insulin. Which had worried me, very much. I had had phone call appointments previously of which neither nurse seemed to know firstly why they were phoning me? One saying she didn’t know much about diabetes? First thing the nurse said at my appointment was how can I help? I said well this was arraigned by yourselves to discuss my diabetes and going into insulin. After a lot of looking at the computer and referring to my phone call appointments she said what did they say. Understandably I didn’t have much confidence in them by now. I had lost 1 stone in weight by being careful with my choose of food. So I was offered a blood test, as things may have, have changed. I insisted it was done now, and not be given another appointment. Now I wait for my results on Friday. Also that there are other tablets available, before insulin. I had been worrying about this for 3 1/2 months.

Suggested improvements
If the staff handling the return phone call appointment, we’re at least aware of what it was about. I felt like they didn’t have a clue. and it was up to me to inform them of their job. Also to be told it was my choice of medication, moving forward. I just said I want what is clinically suitable for me and my condition. I am not qualified to make a choice. .
