Why does it take SO LONG to answer the phone it’s diabolical. I am just so angry have been trying to contact the surgery all week at different times of day. Now here we are, Friday, no luck.

After several attempts to get through on the phone, I decided to try the so called Doctor link. After answering numerous questions on the appointment page I was told to go to A&E. Well as this seemed totally irrelevant for my sciatica I visited my local surgery to try and make an appointment there. No hope, however, I was told to fill in the comment box on Doctor link and say I wanted to see a Doctor.f Eventually, after Eleven, yes that's 11 separate texts I managed to get an appointment, however the final confirmation text arrived just an hour before the appointment time. Luckily I don't live very far from the surgery. All the above took place over three separate days when one simple telephone call would have achieved the same result. So much for so called progress!!!

I no Covid has had an effect on most services but the standard of service that Beversbrook offers seems to have plummeted. You get pushed into completing App based questionnaires, all form of appointment booking have been removed except over the phone and the wait on the phone is extraordinary. Then the person who answers glibly tells you that the long wait was perfectly acceptable. Systm online is now reduced to just a messaging service with no ability to book appointments. Repeat prescriptions messed up. No blood tests. And to cap it all the Beversbrook website which was at least business like has now been superseded by the Patford house one which looks like it was designed by a child, and despite all the buttons has no useful information like Flu jabs or Covid boosters instead we are encouraged to Like them on Facebook, or leave a Review. There is zero actual help or information available just links to other websites, or details of all the people who work there who we will never get to meet.. Well this is my review. You are doing poorly.

If you are only going to communicate via phone then get more people answering phones. If you cannot do that then open up online bookings again. I could not even check online what the time of an appointment I had was, and I could not get through on the phone to confirm the time either as nobody was answering.

Having spent over 40 mins on hold, I was told I needed to collect a sample bottle for my daughter and she could not speak to a doctor until this sample had been tested (which needed to be in by 1100). I duly delivered the sample and explained that my daughter was in real discomfort. I was again told that she would not be seen or consulted until the results were back. 24 Hrs later, no response and no consult. I then spent 1 hr 40 mins on hold with no answer, so I hung up and went in! I was told her results we not back but that I would get a call from the Dr that afternoon. I waited..... and waited.... but no call. So I spent another 40 mins on hold! When I did speak to somebody that told me an appointment had been made for the next day, some 48 Hrs + after my daughter was initially in pain. to add further insult, her results were back, she needed some Antibiotics, but no prescription had been actioned. The lady on the phone was rightfully apologetic. I am now waiting (unconvinced) for a text to say I can collect my daughter's medicine. Not really a great service!

Suggested improvements
1. Answer the phone, very few people have over an hour to just sit and wait on hold. I was in meetings with the phone on speaker just in case somebody answered. (I shouldn't have worried, because they didn't). 2. Don't tell people you will call them back today if you're not going to. Manage our expectations. 3. Action the prescriptions when they have been confirmed as required, this will allow patient to start the recovery process much earlier than having to wait for the surgery to be reminded.

Total failure to authorise the pharmacy to issue repeat prescription despite review not being due till 5th December.

Do your job properly and professionally. Conitued failure will result in complaint to the general medical council
