I called in and was helped to get a suitable appointment. The person who supervised my appointment was great. She helped to calm me down and made my treatment so much better. I was anxious but the person who supported me was lovely.

1. The doctor for my previous appointment arranged a blood test so that it would be available for my appointment today. 22 11 23 2. I called into the Yapton surgery on the 21 11 23 because the results taken on the 15 11 were not showing on the Airmid app. The receptionist confirmed the results had been received. I asked if the results could be added. They said they would try to arrange this. 4. I followed up today and was informed that the records should be visible. I have subsequently checked and they are not on the Airmid or the system on line instances. This is disappointing as this has not happened before!

Suggested improvements
4. Without access to my records, the doctor said that my records showed that I had not improved as expected. At six months after the initial diagnosis and numerous appointments it seems that my condition may have been misdiagnosed. 5. This is deeply disturbing as I have flagged up my concerns. I have experienced pain, received what appears to be contradictory advice and now made no progress! 6. In my opinion, If my care had been more effectively managed, perhaps I would have received more effective treatments. I have never been told at any stage, what dose of steroids I should be on, told it was ok to vary the dose during flare ups and as of today I have returned to 15mg! 7. Let’s hope that an effective diagnosis may be made next week.

Doctors, nurses, receptionist and all have always been pleasant, efficient delivering first class heath care in my case. I only commented to my wife yesterday how streamlined the surgery at Middleton is. Patients in the waiting area where seen quickly during my visit. No drama's well done.

Suggested improvements
The only irritating process is the automated answering system that is out of kilter with your place in the queue and approx time to wait. Which often increases time as you get closer to being number one.

The Receptionists are polite & sympathetic, using their initiative when Drs appointment not available, like putting me in touch with Shubi, out wonderful Pharmacist. Also they can sort out prescription glitches. Most Drs know their stuff, though I have recently had an inflamed involuted toenail diagnosed as an infection and been given unecessary anti biotics. Dr O'Farrell put this right by referring me to NHS Podiatry. They get 5 stars! 2 month wait reduced to 6 days. It is amazing how often I have got a same day face to face and been well looked after during painful bouts of recurring diverticulitis. Dr Sidney helped me a lot and Dr O'Farrell has watched the op I'm waiting for & is very re-assuring. In normal times the two Surgeries get nearly 5 stars & I'm very grateful to have them!

Suggested improvements
My only complaint would be about COVID times when all the sick people at Middleton were crowded into the low ceilinged porch, some with high temperatures that were refused to be seen, but fine to sit next to me. Meanwhile the high ceilinged waiting area was empty. That was a very bad arrangement.
