The receptionist didn’t tell me that my blood test was actually due in May and not March, that was after waiting more than half an hour on the phone which I think is unacceptable.
I would like to be able to book an appointment online as I find it very frustrating to wait interminably on the phone. Even if they say what number you are in the queue it can still take an age . I actually gave up waiting the day before as it was taking too long and I had things to do.
The person I saw was very efficient and when I questioned why I wasn’t told it was May she said that they have an extra 14 thousand patients to see! Mind blowing!
Suggested improvements
Actually look up people s notes to confirm dates of tests, which would have saved me a trip and given someone else an appointment.
Introduce an online booking system.
