Always a long wait to get a call answered recently we gave been cut off two times. It is easier to drivevto the surgery and go to reception if we need an appointment.

Suggested improvements
Answer the telephone quicker or devise a method where we can book an appointment on line. We know that there are patients who will book unnecessarily, maybe you allow initial booking on line where a receptionist can call suspected fake appointments and triage them?
