Trying to book an appointment using the on-line system. I've jumped through all the hoops which took quite some time and was eventually sent a text message telling me I have been streamed to a same day appointment and sent a link. I''ve now spent 3 days using this link to try for an appointment and it just keeps telling me no appointments are available. So what does streamed to a same day appointment actually mean?

I phoned fir appointment on a Monday morning, about week or so ago. I wad given appointment same day, I would not have made that appt in time . They made next 0ne less than a week later. Saw Doctor. Advised a blood test which I had at surgery less than a week later. Same day in afternoon got result was all good. Said Doctor would like to see me again in 3 months, unless need before. I wad reassured that everything was OK. I have never had any issues at this surgery. Doctor phoned during lockdown when I had earache. I know what I need , so he sent prescription over same day to pick up, but to phone back if need be. Receptionists have always been polite.

It has taken me four days to get an appointment I spent all day Tuesday trying get Appoinment as I need a referral to a consultant and my medications are running out .I visited the Humber road surgery at 8.20hrs.Here I saw a practice manager introduced to me as Richard .I explained my situation he assured me he would get Dr Macgregor to contact me that day I stayed in all day had my Mobile fully charged and sat on top,of my landline I had no contact at all. I had by Thursday virtually run out of my medication so I had to attend my pharmacy if it wasn't for there assistance I would have no medication It's now day four and I still have no contact despite sending two emails. Totatally despicable and unprofessional service. Also I am getting over cancer so I could do without this stress.

I've been with the Humber road surgery 7 years and always rated them highly. However they have introduced a new calling system, where on average it's an hour wait to talk to reception. They have no online booking system, so if you want to make, cancel or change a appointment you can only do this via telephone. I imagine not many bother holding for that length of time to make or cancel an appointment, this system is of no benefit to patients or the surgery. The previous system worked perfectly well and you never had a problem getting through to surgery. Time to change surgery, when they don't listen to the complaints of their patients, I think! I hate to think how many people don't get to see a doctor when they really need to because of the issue with getting through!!

Very difficult to get an appointment with my usual doctor at a time that suits me. Receptionists are VERY rude and not helpful at all, this lets a very good practice down. Perhaps some “people skills” training is required for the reception team. People phone the surgery to get an appointment because they are unwell or need medical assistance not to be “grilled” by a rude and un-caring receptionist.

I have been a patient at this surgery for over 25 years and can thoroughly recommend all of its doctors. A dedicated friendly team.

We've been patients at this practice for over 30 years and never regretted choosing Humber Road when we moved here. All the doctors are wonderful and very caring.

My biggest wish would be to bring back walk-in appointments. When I am not well the last thing I want to do is have to get up at 8.15am and spend half an hour trying to get through on the phone, regularly to finally be told there are no appointments. It is also exactly when I (and lots of others) am driving my son to school so often it is impossible to phone then. Please do something about it, it is the only thing wrong with an otherwise great surgery.
