Have type one diabetes and get absolutely no care from this GP surgery at all. They aregue with me and my hospital diabetes team about prescriptions and treatments. They never see me about anything or request I have blood tests to see where my diabetes is. The reception staff are rude and on one occasion I was hung up on by them. It is absolutely impossible to get an appointment and when you do the doctor doesnt seem that bothered or as I was told once your appointment is for only one medical thing if you have any others book another appointment.

I've been a patient at Heathcote for over 5yrs and i must say that it is unquestionably the best GP practice that i have ever encountered. The reception ladies have always been professional and super polite with me. The Doctors and practice nurses utterly amazing! EXAMPLE: Within the last week i have visited Heathcote on two separate occasions. Reception ladies were warm, welcoming and attentive on both occasions. Visit 1) The Doctor although not my usual Doctor was fantastic and immediately put me at ease. He also gave me a completely painless injection and lots of wonderful advice. Visit 2) The Chiropodist (who i see frequently was amazing) She is probably the only person that i would now trust to take care of my feet because she somehow manages to minimize the pain to a level that is bearable for me. Down sides: 1) Parking in the relatively small car park is often problematic (approx 12 patient bays, with 2 of those bays allocated for blue badge holders). 2) Sometimes there are delays getting through to the surgery on the telephone but that is a nationwide problem affecting GP surgeries everywhere. SUMMARY: I'm not joking for me Heathcote Medical Practice is the finest GP surgery that i have ever encountered. If you are lucky enough to fall within its catchment areas count yourself extremely fortunate.

The reception staff are unhelpful, one might almost say rude. Unless one is prepared to get up at 7.50 and wait it is impossiblre to get an appointment, even in a month's time. The Doctors seem fine - at least they did when I last saw one, years ago. The surgery is a badly run disaster.

I left Heatcote Mecidal Centre a few ago and registered with a different practice because it was difficult to make an appointment thanks to the reception staff being either unavailable or rude. In my day, if they saw you coming they would hide behind the back and only come out when it was obvious the patient was not going away. Once you got to see a doctor, there was no problem. They were very thorough and efficient. My only complaint was being bullied to take stating, despite telling the doctor of the adverse side effects.

I am fully aware of the necessity to be cautious regarding Covid 19 but that should not negate reception staff being pleasant and more efficient in their customer service behaviour. All doctors I have spoken to have been extremely kind and helpful, thank goodness. The nurses who did my blood test and ultrasound were very kind. However, getting into the practice was unnecessarily ridiculous making me feel like an unwelcome visitor.

No ome knows anything about my medical history whenever I see a GP, no one bothers to read my notes to establish the complicated medical history I have even if I actually get to see my named GP. What is the point in having medical records if no one reads them. Each time I see a GP it tends to be a different doctor then I spent most of the allocated appt time explaining my medical history. Not a good practice and would not recommend to anyone. Be prepared to get annoyed at reception staff and their manner, quite unpleasant sometimes.

I have been waiting 7 weeks and I am still waiting for them to give my daughter her 6-8weeks appointment. This is disgusting that I have phoned and visited the Surgery serval times every week and I am still waiting for this to happen. I have been told many time someone will book it and I will get a letter in the post. But when I call appointments have not been made. Notes have been left for the person to book but it has not been done as of yet. I just want my daughter to her immunisations at the right time but now she will be behind. Appalling that this could happen.

Following a previous review I have just been kept on hold for 60 minutes and still not got through to a receptionists for an appointment. I’d like to complain to the practice but (a) can’t see an easy way to do that and (b) don’t think they’d care based on previous contact. If anyone is thinking of registering here - don’t.

Absolutely appalling customer service. 30 minutes waiting on the phone to get through to a receptionist and CUT OFF TWICE!
