I've been with Gordon House Surgery for 16 years. Me any my family have always had a good experience with the staff and the Dr's. Through my cancer treatment- from the first concern I had to my follow ups they have been amazing. I am very grateful to be under their care.

The reception staff are helpful and know of my deafness.

  • I want to stay with my designated GP now thaat she has returned from long leave rather than be kept guessing who I am seeing and have to explain my deafness issues to all new faces!.

As the blood results weren't serious, there was a delay of 16 days for the telephone appointment.

  • As the reason for the long running tiredness problems is taking a long time, I would have appreciated a quicker appointment.

I was always treated with kindness, care and understanding. I got emergency and regular appointments with a few different doctors over time, each of them very helpful and knowledgeable. Even when the waiting room is full, the reception team takes their time to help.

In general, I have a good experience at the Surgery with the receptionists but today I turned up 5 minutes late and waited another 5 minutes to talk to a receptionist. She wasn't quite friendly and said that I was 10 minutes late. Then I replied it was only 5 minutes but 5 extra minutes waiting in the queue. Then she said that she would let the doctor know and see what can be done so sit down and wait. I was called after 10 minutes. The rest was pleasant and good service!

  • I believe that this new receptionist could have acknowledged me standing in front of her by asking first instead of keep typing. After that to ask me to give her a moment. Another option could be, is to have a button when registering and you're 5 minutes late. In the past I tried to call when I was stuck in the traffic but often you won't be able to get someone quick enough.

Doctors involve you in deciding your next steps, clean surgery and able to book appointments in advance.

  • Receptionists sometimes rushed and don’t always listen to your problem. Would be good to have an online service to book appointments.

It’s a nightmare trying to get appointments usually, however today is was easy for once maybe cause they knew they were going to get feedback lol
