I have been having physio with Patrick for a few months to treat a recurring injury in my lower back (which has affected me for many years). I have found him to be extremely knowledgeable and the fact that he pays great attention to detail has made a huge difference to my treatment and on-going recovery, as my injury affects different parts of my back and neck. Treatment has worked really well for me and my exercise plan takes in to account my lifestyle and wish to return to training as quickly as possible. Patrick is realistic, encouraging and has also pushed me to achieve more from my training (whilst strengthening my back). I was not really in a position to pay for physio when I started having sessions with Patrick (but was desperate!) but it is most certainly the best treatment I have ever received and has very much increased my quality of life. It has truly been value for money. I recommend him to anyone that needs any form of physio!

I am an elderly patient with a range of problems which are inconsistent in their manifestation. Patrick's assessments have been thorough. He has made it clear when he considers that an issue may not be resolved by physiotherapy. He has provided programmes of exercises and always checks that I am doing them correctly. He has varied the programmes according to the condition/part of the body which is causing most problems at any given time. A few of the exercises have been too difficult but he has listened to me and provided alternatives which I find easier to cope with.

I've been having treatment with Patrick for 6 months now, having put up for years with various leg muscle injuries from football and cycling. After an initial assessment, Patrick put me on a programme of treatment and excercise. He's been pretty patient with my inability to stick to the exercise programme and has adapted this a couple of times to fit better with my lifestyle. We haven't quite cracked the underlying problems of stability and flexibility, but I'm confident that I'm on the right track. Patrick is clearly a highly competent diligent physiotherapist and has great attention to detail and professionalism. He's also very personable and engaging, which are also very important in a healthcare professional.

I had problems with my lower back for a number of months and was training for a half marathon. Patrick was extremely helpful - he listened to everything and took the time to properly examine and understand the problem. He set exercises that were easy to remember on my own which helped to relieve the pain and strengthen my back. Through his support and encouragement I managed to run the half marathon and have not had any major further problems. The support that I received from the whole team at the clinic is excellent and much appreciated - from running sessions to improve my technique and to the physio side.

I initially came to see Patrick as I had injured my shoulder whilst following an on-line exercise programme. He studied the programme I had been following, observed my technique and very quickly identified the problem and, after two sessions, has treated and solved my issues. He has also highlighted areas in my exercise regime that I can improve upon. At every stage I felt that Patrick listened to my concerns, asked lots of questions and has given me good guidance on how to achieve my goals.

Profile

MCSP HCPC

Patrick qualified as a Sports Rehabilitator and Trainer from St. Mary’s University College, Twickenham in 2008. In 2009 Patrick joined up with the Indian Athletics Medical Team and was placed in charge of assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries. Patrick attended the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi where the Indian Athletics Team surpassed their medals target by 300%, collecting a total of 12 Medals.

Subsequently, Patrick undertook consultancy work for Mittal Champions Trust who sponsors elite athletes in India. He looked after individual wrestlers and shotgun shooters in the build up to and during the 2012 London Olympics where his athletes collected a silver and bronze medal.

Patrick has recently completed an MSc in Physiotherapy at Brighton University adding another string to his bow. Patrick strongly believes in manual therapy techniques integrated with functional kinetic chain rehabilitation. This enables patients to fully recover from their dysfunction and return to their activities stronger than before. Further to this, Patrick feels patient education is paramount to ensure a quick return to full fitness as the patient will then be able to identify bad habits and correct them by themselves.
