Her detailed knowledge about the anatomy and its physiology has helped me a great deal in understanding why my body acts in the way it does.
Constructive points - N/A
I have seen Kate for physio involving a variety of injuries over the past few years, including back pain and reconstructive surgery on my knee. I would without hesitation recommend Kate. She is technically very knowledgeable and able to explain problems in a clear and user friendly way. I always felt she was very supportive and worked with me to put in place a programme to ensure my recovery was as swift as possible. All physio depends in large degree on the exercises you do independently at home but she continued to provide guidance outside the sessions and feedback on what I was doing well/areas where improvement was needed. She is also very friendly and communicative and a thoroughly nice person. I'm moving to Sydney and if I do need any physio (likely given my lifestyle) I hope I will be able to find an Aussie Kate to help me out!
Kate has treated both my partner and myself over the past 2 years. My left hip needed attention - pressure on a nerve causing odd sensations - and my partner was losing his mobility due to age and a difficult- to- define medical condition. Kate's approach has produced excellent results. For both of us, she listened, diagnosed, explained, treated, and then gave us exercises that we could readily do, and which have worked for both of us. Her home visits to my partner have been invaluable. Her approach is to help you to help yourself, understanding what you're doing and why. She's great with follow-up, genuinely wanting to hear how you are and not, ever, 'fishing' to provide more treatment. Her fees are extremely reasonable, she is a very skilled professional and a delightful person to work with. Which is how it always feels - she's working with you not 'on' you. I can't speak too highly of her.
