I injured my knee nearly two years ago now. Before seeing Claire, I went through the NHS and saw a sports doctor, physio and orthopaedic surgeon. I had two steroid injections in my knee, an ultrasound guided injection and even an MRI scan on my knee. I was told that there wasn't a problem that could be treated and that I would never run again. The orthopaedic surgeon told me that the only thing he could do was to break both my legs and put them back together... I really love running so I was pretty upset about all of this. It was a year after my injury that I was told by the NHS that they couldn't do anything so I then decided to pay to see a podiatrist who was very helpful. He gave my insoles and suggested that I went to see Claire. Claire is lovely and she really wants you to get better in as little time as possible. She told me that I could email her at any time. One thing that I really liked about her was that she wanted to see me infrequently. So, even though she was more expensive than other physios that I'd seen, she ended up being much cheaper overall. In the past, I've seen physios who wanted to see me every two weeks but nothing got better. I have seen Claire three times only and now I don't need to see her again. She gave me a few exercises to do that were easy so I didn't get them wrong and she didn't give me too many so I had time to do them. I can now run for 30 minutes and I know that this will increase with time. I never thought I'd be able to run for this long ever again so I am incredibly grateful to Claire and would recommend her wholeheartedly. She is the most helpful, caring and professional person in the medical profession that I have ever met.
