I believe the optometrist was competent and spoke with authority.
The woman who helped me with the final part of the exam, the payment, was awful. She tallied my bill and told me the cost was £360 in total. I was shocked by this and questioned her on this price - and she then said 'oh we haven't looked at frames yet', to which I replied 'I'm keeping the frames I have.' Her name is Ruby, and I told her that all I wanted was to get new lenses put into my frames and that I had to keep the price down. This woman pressured me into getting thinner leneses and told me that I would be very unhappy with the thickness of my new lenses. Thankfully, another optometrist came along and looked at the paper work and said the thickness of the new lenses was fine. After the optometrist left, Ruby then tried to sell me a new set of glasses. I finally got out of the store paying £160 for new
Lenses(which I still question the price of). I will never return to this store because of her obvious sales tactics.
Don't overdo recommending contact lenses
Very professional treatment. A bit of "too many cooks in the kitchen" after the test, to ascertain which glasses I may purchase as as spares (to add to those I had already from Boots).
Everything went fine. Was seen quickly and appointment took about 15 mins.
