All the staff were very polite and made me feel at ease. I did have quite a long wait and the comfy chairs and drinks which used to be in the waiting area have been replaced by hard seats? Not sure why?
I found the use of "we" patronising! Instead of saying Mrs James, the staff said we are thinking of getting some readers, and fine varifocaks. What?!!! Also, the guy helping me select & measure my glasses didn't listen to me & over-rode what I said. I told him I didn't like Transition lenses, as when I went into a supermarket, I couldn't see anything as the lenses were dark for too long. He said that my eyes would be better protected if I had the transitional lenses. I told him I didn't need extra-thin lenses as I didn't think my prescription was so bad that I needed them. He said, that is what you had last time. "Last time", I was working full-time & I could afford to be extravagant. This time, I am living on a small private pension, and I am not working - I ended up ordering something I didn't want, or ask fir & now have to phone up to cancel the order. I feel embarrassed by being over-ridden by a young man, but he should be embarrassed for being over-powering.
My appointment was at 4.15 I wasn't seen until 4.50 .I had no apology and no explanation for the delay .it was only when I approached a receptionist did I get seen to and when I was seen to the member of staff was quite sullen and quite miserable. I couldn't wait to get out..Not a nice overall experience
First class service from start to finish staff are very professional and listen to what you have to say and explain the full process excellent service.
There was a problem with my booking not being on the system but the staff were able to accommodate me anyway.
