Nothing to be improved , everything was explained beautifully from the moment I walked into store. Pre-tests were carried out efficiently and everything explained . The eye test was done by Ian North , the test itself was extremely thorough and fully explained, I went initially with floaters , couldn't have wished for a better test . I was then handed over to Jake (?) who went through different options with me with regards to frames he then took me for a second photograph and pressures , ( I'd had drops to dialate my pupils) and explained everything fully once again to me , I then had a further test with Ian who confirmed my eyes were nice and healthy ! Back with Jake who then went through costs and recommendations for me , he wrote down the frames I liked , I was unable to chose my frames on the day as to be honest I couldn't see very well after having the drops in , but I will go back when my hubby can go with me .I was totally put at ease and wasn't at all pressured into choosing my frames on the day . One very happy customer.

They didn't have the records to hand that I had an eye test last year, the assistant told the optician I last visited in 2015 in front of me. I had to correct him and say I visited last year, he quickly dashed off and returned 15 minutes later with paperwork I assume was from my 2016 appointment. This is my second appointment where they forgot to do the 'puff of air' test (unsure of technical name). This is purely because I always come in my contact lenses, I then get told they'll do it after my eye test/contact lens check up with the optician and then afterwards they then are in such a rush to try and sell me new glasses they never do the test! I hope I don't have some underlying condition that is being missed for the second year running. You can check my records which I'm sure will show this test wasn't done in 2016 and now in 2017. My optician Ian however was fantastic, incredibly friendly and chatty. He is probably the reason why I was distracted and didn't say 'wait I haven't done the puff of air test again' on my way out. I want to make you aware of the lack of thoroughness which is happening now for the second year in a row. Fortunately because I was told my eyes are in great shape I am in no rush to go back purely for the puff of air test. However if I'm missing that test I'm sure plenty of your other customers are too and health issues could be being missed.

Tracey was a great help in sorting my appointment and helping with the contact lens process. It was my first time trying contact lenses and she was efficient. patient and friendly.

The appointment and eye test went very smoothly however when I ent to select my glasses and subsequently collect them the shop was so busy that the service was frankly terrible. I was served on both occaissions by Tracey who was doing her utmost to keep everyon satisfied but there were far too many customers for the numbers of staff working. I was waiting for over an hour to collect 2 pairs of glasses. There is no doubt that the shop lost some business on both visits as some people just walked out. Once again I stress that Tracey was lovely and did her best but she was overwhelmed, I don't know how she puts up with it. If you don't act you will lose her.
