Since my opticians changed from Dolland & Aichison to Boots, the quality of service has massively deteriorated. The optician and contact lens practitioners have remained of good quality but the standard of service from support staff was again dreadful. The appointment made was not for the activity I needed, the spport worker did not understand the pre vision tests, could not explain their use and was unsure whether the tests were complete. After my eye test, when ordering lasses, I had to check 3 times whether the prescription was properly recorded as I was asked if I wanted extra thin lenses for reading glasses to wear with contact lenses and even then the checker sent it back to the optician to check and it still needed to be corrected. An hour to buy a pair of reading glasses and now a week to wait. I am very likely to move to another optician less conveniently sited.
