It really does depend on which member of staff happens to deal with you. On my first visit my address was checked on the system and was correct. I happened to notice that on my prescription it had reverted to a previous address. I pointed this out and the optrometrist said that a new one would have to be made out for me to sign again. This was done and I was told by a member of staff that he would just have to get the optrometrist to sign it. Off he went. He came back to say sorry she'd gone out for lunch! She would be back at twenty past. We waited, she wasn't. The chap offered to post it out to me which I agreed. It didn't come. I spoke to another member of staff on the phone and she said that she would post it out. It still didn't come. I was told that the reason it was wrong was because Boots have two systems and when one is updated, it doesn't update the other one! I am 67 years of age and have had many sight tests in my life. This one at Boots, for several reasons which I haven't time to go into, was the worst I have experienced. I came out thinking what a mistake. However, a frame was ordered for me and when I went back was looked after by Tracey. She was brilliant and really knew her stuff. It is solely down to her that I shall have my glasses dispensed by Boots. Also Bobbie is very pleasant and helpful.
