My appointment was mixed , I booked to see a specific optometrist Ian who saw me in the past, he only works once a month. My appointment on 21 June 2017 was booked in advance at 1655, unfortunately I arrived 10 minutes later due to heavy traffic from my house in Fulwood , Sheffield to Meadowhall. I explained to the receptionist Kim that situation and that I have a brain tumour and I am worried about my blurred vision . She was extremely rude, unhelpful and her only option is to book me to see another optician , 90 minutes later or re book Ian for another month so she left me for over 10 minutes waiting . I only wanted her to speak to Ian and explained the situation as he knows me and may be able to accommodate me specially I discovered from another receptionist that Ian is already delayed still examining the previous patient!. Out of no where Ian appeared and I approached him, he was more than happy to see me and examine me as he was already delayed with the previous patient but Kim was adamant to interfere and told him that that he will be late finishing if he sees me. I was really disappointed by her customer services manners and rudeness as if I am just a commodity and not a human being. I want to register a complaint against her as I am not sure if it is a because I am ethnic or she has inherent bad manners which should not be the case for a front line staff. I understand the rules being delayed she could have only said I shall talk to the optometrist , please have a seat. She is fixated on kicking me out and completely rigid despite explaining my circumstances. I am a doctor myself working in general practice and my husband is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon, we tried to reason with her without any success. Thanks to Ian who gave me a thorough examination and apologized for her rudeness and thanks to the other lady called Charlotte who was the exact opposite in her manners, understanding and customer relationship and was extremely friendly so I want to pass my thanks to her. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, had to wait a long time to see optometrist as they were running late.spectacles in stock earlier than expected, that was great, will go back next time my test is due.

100% recommend ghulam and amiah after 20 years of wearing glasses I have been treated as well as these guys. The leval of service and nolige I received was amazing. Thank you so much.

I was very pleased with my Optometrist Harris Mughal. He was very polite and reassuring. Alan and Ella were very helpful and polite too. They spent a lot of time and patience in helping me with my choice of glasses. And also very helpful in sorting out all the various discounts and vouchers we had ! Denise Rawlinson
