1st April 2017

My eye test was late due to the optometrist being stuck in traffic. That happens and I accepted it, but after my test I was passed to a male assistant.I started knowing what I wanted as I had had plenty of time to select a frame waiting for the eye test, but I became increasingly frustrated with the attempt to sell up with better lenses etc etc. He seemed to spend more time jumping up and down to disappear and look at my old sunglasses than trying to take an order and measurements for a new pair. At one point, I excused myself to go to the toilet and I very nearly didn't go back as I wasn't convinced he knew what he was doing. I went back because I owed Boots the fee. My appointment time was 10.20. At 11.56, I paid the £10 sight test fee and walked out. I have now discovered that the same man had carried out my husband's initial testing on 27th February, and was of the opinion that this assistant has a very awkward manner. We have always been happy with service at Meadowhall, however on this year's experience, I doubt we will return.
