I was very disappointed with my recent visit as usually I have a very good experience when I come to Boots Opticians and I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. This time, I was made to wait 50 minutes for my appointment. No one kept me updated with what was happening. I had been for an appointment 6 months previous but wanted to come again to check my prescription was correct as I had not bought any new glasses since last attending and knew I needed new glasses and my eyesight usually deteriorates quite fast. I was made to feel like I was wasting the staff's time by being there. Eventually the optometrist appeared and she was lovely and made me feel instantly at ease and better about the whole experience. However, when the appointment finished she realised I still needed to have a fields test carried out by one of her colleagues. Why this could not have been conducted in the 50 minutes I spent waiting for her by one of the consultants I do not know, this is what usually happens. So then I was made to wait for another 15 minutes after my appointment, just sitting on my own, until I finally gave up and walked out.
