The Optometrist Frank was charming and very friendly and the appointment was a pleasure for me. The receptionist was not to my liking at all, she was very pushy and extremely forceful in wanting me to purchase new frames for the lenses that I required, she also had included an amount on the the invoice that I was told would be going to charity, I would have preferred to have been asked before including this amount for me to pay, and for this reason I will not be returning after I have collected my spectacles on the 24 Dec. I have my own charities that I make regular donations to, and I am not at all happy that Boots put their customers in a position like this in front of other customers, I am not even sure that this is legal. You must be aware that it is illegal to shake a collection tin under someone's nose, and in my view this procedure carried out by a Boots employee is putting the customer in an impossible situation.
