5th April 2017

This feedback is solely based on the experience I had on the day of my first appointment (1st April 2017). Upon arrival, several members of staff were giggling and spraying air freshener towards an area they stated a customer had just left from; they claimed this particular customer "stank" really badly. This behaviour i felt was very unprofessional and rude but my partner and I did not make any comments. I then had my eyes checked by a member of staff who was very pleasant however it was clear that she did not like being there and i strongly gathered it was because of her colleagues. After these checks, an optomitrist conducted further checks. She got increasingly frustrated and inpatient with me when I could not see. It appeared as if she did not know what she was doing at all! At the end of what felt like 2hrs, I was told that my results Where inconclusive and that there would be no chance of me getting contact lenses that day. I explained that i had a driving test that following Monday and was in desperate need of visual aid for the test; her response was that there is nothing they can do to help me and that i should return the following day. When I returned, I was told there were no records of my visit the previous day and nothing had been imputed on the system. I then had to go through the whole process again and another optomitrist named "Kate" attended to me. Kate was AMAZING! Pleasant, kind, patient, and very helpful. She was able to find the right lenses for me as well as contact lenses; I was given a prescription and trial lenses to take on the day. Resulting in me being able to take my driving test the following day and not lose my fees. Kate was very professional and clearly knew what she was doing.
