Ensure your staff have the ability to log into the computer to access my record - the person I saw (Ron?) was unable to log in therefore he had no knowledge of my existing situation etc and had to do the check completely blind. If an appointment is scheduled for 8am, it should start at 8am, not 8.10am after the store has finally opened and the optometrist has finally set up. Appointments should be offered from when you are ready to see customers. If that's not until 8.15am because you have to log into the computer, access records etc that's fine but it was a waste of my time being there on time. My date of birth was printed incorrectly on the paper record where Ron was taking his notes. It was only because I happened to notice and tell him the correct DOB. Because he was unable to log into the computer he wasn't able to cross check it. A better standard of hygiene should be observed - I watched Ron take a disinfectant wipe from a sterile pack, rip it in half, put one half back in the packet (potentially contaminating the other wipes in the pack) and then use the other half to wipe the bench where he'd be working. At no point was the chin rest or head rest wiped which I would have assumed was why there are disinfectant wipes in the first place. I was extremely disappointed with my experience in their branch - it was disorganised and unprofessional.
