So impressed by attitude and actions when I phoned to discuss floaters that had appeared. Triaged by whoever answered the phone at 11.45 ish, called back by 1.15, appointment at 2.50 (cld have been earlier but Icouldn't get there), seen, retinal tear diagnosed, hospital called, referral letter written, at hospital by 4.30 and left after lasering by 6 - really efficient and effective, maybe saved my sight!!! #lovetheNHS THANK YOU TO EVERYONE, sorry i don't have the optometrist's name. the consultant at the hospital started his exam by saying often optomotrists over diagnose - not in my case. One sort of complaint/query - why can't one Boots optician see my records from the other store just on the floor below - surely there are systems that allow for that???
