Staff was friendly. The Optometrist was friendly and explained well everything.
I Have poor eye sight but was given the best possible treatment firstly
from Yvonne Cartwright who gave me the best test ever and later from
Sue who took great care in helping choose the best glasses to suit
my need., Both gave me first class treatment.
Jane and David were extremely professional and very approachable.
It was difficult to get through on the phone to make an appointment. The phone options did not direct to the correct department - I selected the option for the opticians but it was connected to Advantage card instead.
I then phoned the main number and asked to be transferred to the opticians - there was no answer. Eventually I phoned a national number for the opticians and made an appointment that way.
When I arrived for the appointment, the meet and greet was not clear. There was a desk facing the wall and a number of staff huddled round looking at a screen. I felt I had to interrupt them to announce that I'd arrived.
The actual appointment once I got to see the optician was very good, he was very polite and I felt I received good care and advice.
The choices for Nhs glasses are limited so I decided to go somewhere else but it causes a lot of problems. First they didn't give me the voucher, second the voucher has no name. They know it's a legal document. It was really annoying. Definitely next year I will go somewhere else.
