The actual care by all staff, was very good. However, accepting that my appointment was for 1.05pm and I was actually 10minutes early. it was very disappointing that I did not start the process of examination until 1.25. and I finally left the department at 2.40pm. There just seemed an extraordinary amount of time waiting around for the next phase of the visit. I will also state, that this was the common view of other people sitting in the waiting area. I came away with the distinct feeling that the staff believed that the process was more important than the needs of the customer. Not the best reaction for a customer based process As an ex Boots employee I was not pleased that the level of efficiency and service has deteriorated to such an extent A finally question, is it mandatory for 4 or 5 staff to be clustered around the work station at any one time. It was this aspect that was upsetting most people who were waiting. Quote, why are they standing there while we are all waiting was heard from at least three different people whilst I was sitting there. I have to agree that it just does not look professional .
