I was concerned that my prescription had changed dramatically for the first time in 20 years. I didn't realise this change until I was ordering my glasses. I was concerned that I was possibly paying for glasses that may not be suitable as my sight rest may have been affected by my recent surgery ( not eye related). When I asked if it was possible if I could have a second opinion, I was told this was not possible. I have subsequently booked an appointment with another optician as I am concerned that I have spent nearly £500 on glasses that will not suit. I telephoned the next morning to try and postpone the order for my new glasses until I had seen the second optician but was told this was not possible. As I have been a client of Boots opticians for over 10 years and you have all my records, I really feel that if my prescription had changed so dramatically it would have been reassuring to have this explained to me rather than finding out when ordering my glasses that my prescription from being relatively low was now so strong I was recommended to pay extra to have thinner lenses.
