The Optometrist was a female and I felt very comfortable with her and wish there were more females in this position. During an eye examination the Optometrist gets quite close and as a female myself can feel bit uncomfortable if a male is testing me. The Optometrist explained the photo I had to see behind the eye and answered any concerns I had. I was also advised my current lenses were adequate for another two years but I had a prescription for just reading lenses for close work like sewing, reading and electronic tablet work. With this advice I felt I was not prescribed unnecessary glasses.
