Every staff member was welcoming and polite. I felt at ease throughout the whole process from start to finish. Thank you.
1. I made my appointment online for 13.35. I was later sent a text telling me that my appointment was at 13.30. Why the discrepancy?
2. Couldn't find a way to locate the exact address where my appointment was - it wasn't in the confirmation text, which just said 'Strand'. I went to the branch of Boots on the Strand, only to be told I had to go to another address. As a result I arrived late and flustered.
3. The optometrist was lovely and very friendly, but not terribly clear about whether or not I actually needed anything done. She told me I had 20-20 vision, but I can see on my prescription that I have astigmatism in my right eye. No idea what this means or if it's a problem.

Ms Kate was very professional, thorough and forthcoming.
Ever since Boots has taken over D&A I have found the appointments quite impersonal. New staff each time, no previous info carried forward so having to repeat the same info time and again.
Also yesterday's appointment felt like a machine. Quick prechecks. Quick appointment. Get in, get out to their schedule. Not very relaxing at all.
Also assistant was not totally clear with her descriptions for the precheck - as if she was on 'autopilot'.
