The centralised procedure for booking appointments needs to be reviewed. Letters are not always sent at the right times and appointments are not always booked accurately by staff on the telephone. I made a complaint abut this on 22 May and received a reply stating that this will be looked into; I will only be able to verify this next time I receive a letter informing me that my contact lens or eye check is due.
