The appointment was not hurried and I felt that I received a proper examination including discussions on how my eyes have changed. The optometrist thought he could see a film in my eyes and placed drops in my eyes until he could check properly. He advised that I would require these drops every time I required an examination. He was brilliant.

My son Luca (6), has had terrible trouble with sore red eyes for the last two years. About a year and a half ago we were referred to the hospital by our GP and were later told it was allergic Conjunctivitis. He was given syrup for allergies and nasal spray. It wasn't until recently that we took Luca to the Boots store at the Fort to have his eyes checked for glasses that the optician noticed how red they were and suggested that we go immediately to the Braehead store to see Amar, who specialises in this field. When we arrived Amar took us in straight away and after checking Luca's eyes, recognised the symptoms and immediately phoned in an emergency appointment at the hospital. Luca has now been taking two sets of eye drops, which were mentioned in our conversations with Amar, and his eyes have improved dramatically! We would just like to thank Amar for his help and his persistence to get Luca treated properly once and for all. He achieved in one day what no one else could in the last two years! Thanks Amar, you're an angel in disguise!

my care has been fab. I am seeing John as my contact lens prescription is being a pain but he is determined he will get my varifocal prescription sorted .

I went in at 10am as an emergency and was told that there was an appointment at 11.30 and advised to book it rather than wait. I returned at 11.25 and was kept waiting until 12.15. I was in a lot of pain. The optometrist said my appointment was for 11.45 and they were very busy. I have usually had to wait for my appointment but not as long as on this occasion.

I have been to Boots Barrhead before and I have to say the service has improved. I was dealt with in a quick and efficient manner. The staff who dealt with me were professional and extremely pleasant. I felt comfortable altogether a excellent experience.
