I have had several eye tests in Boots Princes St., Edinburgh. All have been conducted to my complete satisfaction. My latest appointment was with Jane Anderson. She was very kind and reassuring and left me feeling that I could have complete confidence in her advice.
Jane Horan was kindly, efficient and informative. She carried out the tests thoroughly and patiently, answering my many questions clearly. I felt I was in very capable hands. I will follow her good advice.
Reminders that my appointment was due failed to arrive in the post. Apparently several should have been sent but were not. I received a phone call to tell me the appointment was due and they were concerned I had not responded to the postal reminders(!). I made the appointment over the phone. An email reminder came the day before the appointment, but it had a different time than had been arranged - the contact lens check which was happening before the sight test having been ignored. I phoned to query his and staff were helpful in clarifying what had happened and confirming the original appointment.
On the day staff were faultless.
this was a follow-up appointment after my last eye test as Christiana was concerned about my peripheral vision, which is "borderline" in one eye. Still borderline, but she is now arranging for a hospital appointment to get a second opinion. She explained everything and answered all my questions very clearly. I am very pleased with Boots eyecare over many years and would recommend this branch to anyone.
All round, a better experience than I had expected. Thanks to all.
