I thought all the staff at Boots Opticians were extremely friendly and professional. In particular, Maryam, Margaret and Stephen were very welcoming and patient (especially when it came to me trying on a million pairs of glasses and wondering which ones to pick). It was a quick an enjoyable experience and I'll certainly keep getting my tests and glasses there in the future.

The optometrist has been patient, kind and very professional. Personally, I don't think there is anything to be improved.

Coming from Black & Lizars, where standards are impeccably high (Glasgow branches), I needed something a bit more accessible (and arguably less money!). Going into Boots, Princes Street was a breeze. I was met by a friendly chap, who booked me in for a convenient appointment the same day, and inadvertently "seduced" me with his optical puns! I am a stickler for puns. :o) The pre-appointment tests were professional, the main test was fine, as any test is, together more thorough than other "commercial" opticians, so I was blown away by the high level that was, in my opinion, better than of B&L. That said, my last appointment to a Black & Lizars was ten years ago. It may be due in part to the absorption of D&A opticians, but either way, the service is clean, professional and awesome! The "any second or more pairs half price" offer is extended to the insurance option, actually it's free on further pairs, so getting additional protection for all three pairs I ordered for £25 in the year is amazing. Had the staff member, Daniel, not informed me about this I likely would've missed it. This post-appointment spectacles choosing was difficult given my prescription, however the support and advice given by Daniel was brilliant, since he is one of the people to look at me in my new specs! It didn't sound biased, sales-pushy for a more expensive frame, just whatever worked for me. The staff all appear to enjoy their job, which is great. The service is customised, personalised and not rushed at all, unlike a one-in-one-out approach of a, ahem, green-themed discount spectacles chain! I 110% recommend this branch for their optical care. :o)
