I went to see what Boots could do for a pair of glasses that had beedn my second pair and had sat in a drawer for over a year. Within two months, they broke but, of course, were out of warranty. The dept. manager, Jim, offered me a replacement pair from a range of price options up to the original cost and made it a pain-free customer service experience. Two of the staff, Becca and Daniel were also very helpful. The thing is, over some four years of dealing wi this branch, I have never had anything except exceptional customer care at every point of the process, including - as with this cae - well after the event.
