Generally I am quite satisfied by the service received. I do however have a couple of questions. First, after visiting the optician on an emergency appointment, she wanted to see me again in one month To apply dilation drops and check again. As this coincided with the timing of my annual check, the optician decided to combine both on the same day. This she told the girl collecting me from her room and wrote it down on my record notes. The assistant and I then sat down and agreed a time and date to accommodate both. On Saturday, 4th Feb 2017 I arrived for this appointment to be told I should have arrived 30 minutes earlier for the eyes drops to be applied. When I explained the situation no one seemed to know about it and it would appear no additional time had been allowed. The assistant checked with the Optician who confirmed the facts and pointed out it was on the notes. Why had no one noticed this? Secondly, I have used Boots since their takeover of D & A. Why is it that I am asked the same basic questions about family history, health, hobbies and occupation. Surely these issues should be on record so a check on any change is all that is needed at each visit?
