On this eye check review, the process was hetic as a number of other peoples oppointments had been delayed and, I was rushed through the various eye checks before seeing Sital Thakrar - Optometrist . After the test to check my prescription, no reference was made to the earlier checks until I asked and the reply was all OK. The paperwork given for the current prescription does not included any results to the tests IE field vision. I thought Boots would provide a more comprehensive feedback data, so I can compare with previous years results. With not much change to my previous eye test, I decided not to have new lenses and frames.

I was very impressed with the service I was given both from the optometrist Sital and Julie who helped who helped me with my choice of glasses. The were both very professional, helpful and friendly. First Class.

Today it seemed the store was a little understaffed for the amount of customers but it wasn't too long after my appointment that I was seen by Vicky who I must say is amazing! She was friendly and chatty in all the good ways. She was very easy to talk to and gave me good recommendations for my new pair of glasses. She set me back up on the contact lens reward scheme after it cancelled due to finance issues previously and handled all my questions with ease.. I feel employee of the month if you do that :)

The reason I have said unlikely to recommend is because the staff on reception are always busy doing other things. I stood at reception 10 mins waiting to get served and the phone was constantly ringing with no one to answer it. Spec savers in Basildon are far better. Plus the first appointment I came to have lenses fitted, they hadn't even been ordered. So I wasted an afternoon, waiting for half hour while they tried to find them. Yesterday appointment the optician seemed like she was rushing. Didn't feel cared for just rushed. Plus I didn't see the same optician 2 different ones and both recommend different lenses.

The optometrist requested an appointment be made for a dilation test, this request was made verbally to the assistant , Rory. It was only after returning home I discovered that my follow up appointment was for fitting only for my new glasses. As such I had to call back to rearrange the appointment. It left me feeling very much that the sale of the glasses was more important than the state or deterioration of my eye sight.
