I came to Boots because of a negative experience elsewhere. Every staff member I spoke to was polite, relaxed and friendly, and really put me at ease. I was surprised to be given time for my eyes to return to their normal state after the screenings, pressure test and photographs, as my previous optician didn't do that, and this told me that the optometrist's findings would be a lot more accurate as a result. Nobody tried to sell me anything, and - unlike my previous opticians - nobody tried to push me towards the higher-end frames or add any other bells and whistles. I found my perfect frames immediately, measurements were checked and double-checked with precision and humour, and I was even asked about one of my more unusual hobbies. A positive experience, and I shall happily return next year.
