The actual experience of the eye test was fine - it was the after care and admin that has let Boots down. I did not feel able to afford prescription sunglasses and glasses, so ordered only sunglasses. Nobody mentioned the offer of second pair half price. There were three forms that staff did not request my signature on, which used up my time on return visits when paperwork had to be located. Then I was ordered the wrong sunglasses! This required another trip to sort out. A lovely lady called Beth did sort it out for me, but when she checked with the manager whether I could use a half price voucher off the sunglasses she was told that this was not possible. As well as being without my sunglasses for over a month, I have the added inconvenience of returning and using more of my valuable time. I would have thought that the manager would be allowing the redemption of the voucher as a gesture of goodwill in the circumstances. Lastly, I feel it relevant to add, that one member of staff on one of my previous visits mentioned that I should look at home for vouchers as the money could then be refunded to me on collection. Overall, a less than satisfactory experience.
