More professionalism He didn't inspire trust when he reached his prescription in the end - my son still can't reach 6/6 with his prescription. I went to another opticians in the end.

I have a coloboma in one eye which makes some examinations difficult. Retinal photography seems impossible (even the experts at Addenbrooke's can't get an image). But I've not normally had any problems with the pressure test and it has in the past indicated elevated pressure for which I am currently on medication. However on this occasion there was new "automatic" equipment in use, and this new machine was unable to measure the pressure in the eye with the coloboma. It just wouldn't attempt it, and there appeared to be no manual override. It is a pity that this fancy new kit was not able to do as good a job (for me) as the old.
