I felt I was not pressured into buying new glasses and that is why I changed to Boots a few years ago. The opthalmist was honest and confirmed that I do not need glasses for driving. Another one a few years ago said I did and added " that they get asked by the police after accidents" This as I suspected was a clear way of scaring me into buying glasses.
I can't read the name on the form but her No was OPL01297835PT
I was very nice
Can't think of anything, everyone was super friendly and helpful.
I have used Boots opticians for years and always been impressed but this was a very poor experience. The booking , I thought was for Petty Cury but it turned to be at a completely different organisation: no records of previous tests, very poor paperwork issued, cramped and scruffy premises, staff very friendly but not very well qualified. The examination didn't go smoothly.
Very unhappy about the prescription that was issued: scruffy, hand-written, difficult to read. The whole operation was amateurish, rushed and perfunctory.
The optometrist was extremely helpful and explained my symptoms well. He listened to my concerns and was very clear about the course of treatment I should take.
