The Optometrist was great very courteous and helpful. The service downstairs was non-existent- so poor I was completely ignored for about 20 minutes. No-one spoke to me, e.g. said 'sorry for the delay' etc. I heard the Optometrist speak about my prescription to one of the staff when he brought me downstairs and told me where to sit, but that was it. There was only one young woman working and who was very busy dealing with other customers -she appeared to be working alone although another member of staff disappeared into the staff area soon after I sat down. After waiting so long I decided to leave without ordering my glasses. (vari-focal with special glass which responds to light) I have been a loyal customer of Boots Opticians for 30 years but yesterday I felt so dismayed at being ignored that I decided I would have to try another opticians. I drove 65 miles for this appointment because I have always been satisfied with Boots service in the past.
