Good communication - every step of the appointment was explained. The optician was clearly very professional . I was not rushed through the actual eye exam like I was at my previous opticians.
My current spectacles were damaged which I pointed out to staff - yes I know they were from another opticians but as good customer care it would have been nice if someone had offered to have a look at them to see if a temp fix could be made until my new specs from Boots could be supplied.
I tried to use my double points voucher but was told I could only use it in the main part in the store ?!
That was disappointing.
Generally though I was impressed with the appointment and the support in choosing my new specs. I am looking forward to receiving them in a weeks time.
I have glaucoma in the family and my check-ups are as a result free - very grateful for this NHS service very capably and informatively carried out at Boots opticians.

The waiting area could be a bit bigger, as the initial examination felt like we were in the corridor. The efficiency of the staff was excellent. The knowledge and professionalism exceeded expectations. I felt like I had been thoroughly examined with time and care taken to cover all questions I had. I came out very satisfied that it was a worthwhile and valuable time spent.
Efficient service but only basic eye tests done. Prices after discounts still only OK , not worth recommending to others especially as have to wait a week for glasses and revisit store. Web site wouldn't even allow booking at local store despite having dedicated opticians
