Share review of Boots Opticians Bedford - Harpur Centre
Optometrist made a ridiculous fuss
about signing me up for financial help with
new glasses because I am on ESA. Anybody
would have thought that the money was
coming out of his own pocket. This is even
when last year I paid the full cost of my
glasses out of my own pocket! He was not
the most personable or friendly of people
and seemed to get impatient and irritated
when I voluntarily offered extra information
about my prescription which I thought might
be useful. In general there was a lot of
waiting around. I was actually there for over
two hours from my official appointment time!
What made the whole experience worthwhile
was Emma, the very conscientious and
thorough pre-examiner. She showed no
signs of irritation or impatience at my
persistent questions about frames, special
offers and prices and thoroughly knew her
job! She checked and double-checked all
of the details and regularly reviewed
everything that we had decided as we
went along.
