Working a a practice nurse in a small friendly rural practice - I have completed the degree module foundations of general practice nursing at Plymouth University and am now working in all areas of general practice nursing and developing a specialist interest in Asthma and COPD care. I really enjoy my job and am lucky to work in such a friendly practice.
I trained at St James Hospital in Leeds and Leeds Polytechnic where I complete a degree in Nursing, I have since worked for a short time on a neurology ward for 10 years as a midwife both in the UK and New Zealand, I have spent time in gynaecology and as a Nurse Practitioner in a fertility unit. I worked in the community for 2 years as a research nurse before moving into general practice - where I intend to stay until I retire!!
I have 3 children a husband, dog and garden all of which keep me busy outside of work.
