Julie showed genuine concern and insisted my mum got reviewed at hospital. She then returned to visit regularly keeping mum in-line and all was good. She was encouraging and gave me and mum confidence. I felt that I could trust her totally. We were very fortunate to have someone like this to help.

Thank you Julie for helping me learn to manage my tricky stoma after ileostomy surgery. You were kind, supportive, knowledgeable and extremely patient. I am very grateful for your care and expertise, given despite the Covid situation - via home visa it’s when necessary, emails, phone calls and video calls. You are very flexible and accommodating. Best wishes Emma x

Julie came to see me today at my house - it was lovely to see her smiling face, even behind her mask I could tell as her eyes smiled. She asked me how I was and had a good look at Bert my stoma. Very kindly, Julie got a bowel of water and made sure I was fresh and clean before she got me settled and sat back in my chair. I would be lost without her. All my daughter has to do is call her and she will coem out if I have a problem. Thank you Julie you are a very precious nurse, please look after yourself in these strange times.Hope to see you again. Shirl Girl

Julie has been looking after my Mum, who has a challenging colostomy, for the past 18 months. She has stripped away all the unnecessary steps in Mums routine to simplify it for her as much as possible whilst still making sure she doesn't have any problems. Mum has dementia so this is really important. The way Julie interacts with her is lovely, extremely kind, caring and respectful. Julie is one of the visitors she can always remember to tell me about in an evening! There have been a couple of incidents where Julie has been like the 4th emergency service and she has really gone the extra mile in making sure Mum was safe and happy before leaving her for which my brother and I can never thank her enough. I hope everyone has a 'Julie' to care for them when they need it. Thank you seems inadequate, but it really is sincere Julie.
