Busy and not caring.
Delivering compassionate care is something I have felt very strongly about throughout my nursing career and now as a manager promote throughout the trust. In palliative care particularly compassionate care is something that it really important and I strive to deliver this myself but also teach other colleagues the importance of helping and supporting patients and families through this difficult time. Out team is a very busy team ,however I would never want patients or families to think that I didn't have time to care.To read this feedback that I have been perceived to be busy and not caring makes me feel very sad as this is something I work very hard at, to ensure I deliver compassionate care both clinically and strategically in my management role. Thankyou for taking the time to leave this feedback it is something I take seriously so will reflect on these comments. Heather Wright Palliative Care Team Leader
