Lorraine is nothing short of a godsend! She is kind, patient, listens, always responds quickly to voicemails ect. Just knowing she is available is at the end of a telephone is very reassuring.
I needed her help badly after a failed Turp (I was in nappies) in Late January/early Feb 2016.
She got me infront of a senior consultant within 24 hours. I will be forever grateful for that.
When I was first diagnosed with Prostate Cancer she was marvelous.
This woman is beyond words and the NHS is lucky to have her.
I first met Lorraine when she had the unenviable task of telling me that a WGH consultant had not completed the referral papers to move me from his domain on to Oncology, after a diagnosis of cancer. She dealt with me calmly, professionally and more importantly expedited the matter.
Since that initial introduction she has met me at most of my reviews and other intervention appointments, such as surgery. She has provided me with a constancy, a well informed, accessible, friendly, 'guide' to the Trust and it's many facets. She has never failed me in any aspect of my requirements.
At a personal level, I simply enjoy seeing her, as she raises up ones spirits.
In summary, Lorraine is experienced and knowledgeable, competent in getting things done in an NHS environment, cheery, friendly, upbeat and a great communicator.
She is a wonderful example of an NHS that totally works.
Over the last six months Lorraine has demonstrated the highest level of care and professionalism during the treatment of my re-occurring prostate cancer.
When some elements of the NHS system, procedures and administration failed me she was always available to be contacted, even out of hours.Lorraine has been a rock during an extremely difficult and emotional period of my life and her Care and Compassion is second to none. She was sympathetic in explaining my treatment and side effects and for arranging further ongoing support and referral's. Lorraine demonstrates all that is good within the NHS and should be a model for others to follow, including doctors and consultants, in what should be a modern, efficient NHS organisation.
I could not wish for a more committed professional in our NHS.
