during the most stressful time in my life with a traumatic birth and then my little boy needing treatment the midwifes were amazing. i felt supported beyond measure and when i was feeling low or self doubting the team were all great in reassuring and comforting me. i think the care recieved here on freya is outstanding, i will never forget your kindness and thank you all from the bottom of my heart. i would like to highlight a few members of staff who have for me really gone above and beyond, Linda who put up with me for 3 days on labour ward, student kylie, Ally who looked after me on both labour ward was with me in theatre and then cared for me here on freya. a special thankyou must go to Vicki and her amazing support with breastfeeding. she helped and encouraged me with a no nonsense approach and i appreciated the way that she told it how it is. this was particularly comforting during a couple of discrepancies with SCBU, during which i felt Vicki "had my back" which was reassuring at a very stressful time.

We have seen the community midwife, Carmel Moore today at our GP surgery. It is such a pleasure to see Carmel as her kind and compassionate nature always makes us feel at ease. She never rushes you and is happy to answer any questions or queries that we have. She never makes you feel like a question you have asked is stupid or silly.
Throughout the pregnancy she has always included my husband in my care and made him feel just as involved as myself. This is something that he truly appreciates, as it makes the experience for him even more special.
Carmel is a credit to the midwifery team at Yeovil Hospital and I could not wish for a more supportive and caring midwife to lead my care.

continuity has been an issue and a few members were less than helpful especially during labour and on ward. disjointed care.
