I arrived slightly early and was called almost immediately. The young man who was the Radiographer introduced himself as Chris and took me along to the X-ray room. He weighed me and measured my height and then he explained that he was going to conduct the X-ray and would X-ray my left hip to see how it compared with the bone density scan I had in 2016.
He arranged me into position on my back on the X-ray table and I heard the machine coming on and off. I then moved to having my legs raised and had more X-Rays. Chris then came in and said, "It's all done". I asked if I had to wait and he said no, you are free to go. I asked if I would get the results and he said, "Yes, Claire will contact you."
The scan was very quickly and professionally done and I was back at the car park in just over half an hour. The parking was the worst part but otherwise, the whole process was very well carried out.

My scan was conducted by Chris and he was most polite, helpful and I was taken in early and finished my appointment before the appointment time. Great service

I had a bone densitometry appointment with Chris at the X-ray department of Yeovil Hospital.
The lady at reception was friendly and informative, giving me the form to complete while I waited for my appointment time.
Chris was prompt, and efficient. He explained the process to me throughout and made me feel at ease.
I didn't feel rushed at any stage of the appointment.
