My antenatal care or lack of resulted in my son being put at unnecessary risk and having a lengthy stay in hospital. However the care I received when in labour was outstanding with a midwife that put all my fears and anxieties a distant memory where I had an amazing labour and welcomed the birth of my son. The same midwife went above and beyond her job role in ensuring that once I had received upsetting news she stayed with me, comforting me and relaying any important information. My postnatal care has also been amazing with majority of staff being extremely helpful, thoughtful and compassionate. Making my stay much more bearable.
