The level of reassurance/encouragement was outstanding. Also the one taken (and time!) to fully explain the procedure and risks was truly excellent. Because of my perception that it was a surgical procedure, I mistakenly believed that I would need to put on a gown, walk into a theatre etc. In reality, I didn't have to change and the room was a sophisticated consulting room. Here, maybe on the into leaflet sent out with the appointment, play down the surgery/theatre elements as it certainly created the incorrect expectation in me- this causing great anxiety!
